It’s a fine jumper, Lucinda. :)

So the world is pretty fluxed right now, but you have your head together.

Time in nature is the key - and finding meaningful things to do.

Family does help….

Best Wishes - Dave :)

Having my head together is not how I would generally describe myself - but in some small ways, it seems maybe I do... haha!

Thanks Dave, time in nature is indeed the key to so many things.

Have a lovely week :)

Hi Lucinda

If you can write about it, and write well - as you have - then you are doing better than many.

I hope your week is wonderful too!

Best Wishes - Dave :)

You knitted a whole jumper! 🙌

Amazing Lucinda.

Always Home, Always Homesick is on my nightstand to read next ☺️

Thank you! My daughter has requested one for her birthday, so I'm about to roll up my sleeves for number two! A little smaller this time which will be nice :)

Always Home, Always Homesick - I have no doubt you will love it. Enjoy :)

Hello Lucinda, these winter months with illness and tiredness and washing drying all over the house. But at least there are owls at night and the joy of twisting yarn around needles to create something that will last a lifetime. There is a gorgeous poem by Barbara Kingsolver about wool and women and knitting. I will look it up and share it with you. I thought you might enjoy it. Congratulations on the jumper!

Congratulations on your first jumper Lucinda, very beautiful yarn and knitting. I learnt to knit in my thirties and have never stopped, it’s got me through many a dull meeting and stressful times. Now my hands feel empty without my needles when I sit down, nothing fancy but a great joy. 🧶🥰

Thank you Sally, it's a simple joy! And because it takes so long, you have to think about what sort of garment will be truly useful.

Yes I do small projects in between or alongside the big ones

It's a great circuit breaker! I just knitted a quick beanie for my neice, and now I'm about to dive into another jumper (same pattern) for my daughter's birthday. I feel I have built up the energy again, but needed something in between to give the brain a little break.

Lovely work, Lucinda! We always seem happier when we create, especially with our hands. It's surely etched in our DNA.

Thanks Alia, I’ve already started another for my middle daughter. I genuinely believe that it’s in our DNA. It’s a lovely concept at the very least 〰️
